Froggy Hi for OWH 204

Ok, I admit it, this is so CUTE!!  I wish I could say it was easy to put together.  Well, the sketch was the easiest part.  I love it when Operation Write Home puts all the dimensions on their sketches.  That is one thing that I don't have to think about.  Thanks guys!

Last week was my first week and I made some major no-no's in my book and the card still turned out fabulous.  I certainly got lucky.  This week, I wanted to get everything together before I started cutting.  I first chose the patterned paper.  I really like that plaid because it has....GREEN!!  Then I chose the base card color, which is a dark green.  On the front I wanted to make sure everything matched in the same color scheme.  I like this yellow and the tan, which were both in my scrap stash.  On to the embellishments.  The diagram has a circle on the top left and this message bubble kinda fell out of the embellishment bag.  Kismet!  It was meant to be.  The embellishments on the bottom is a border die that I received several years ago in a online scrapbook kit.  I thought it coordinated nicely.  And from my plethora of fibers of so many colors. I chose to combine two colors and wrapped them around twice.

I had all of this put on and  my lovely daughter walked in and said "It looks like it needs a frog".  Kismet again!  I happen to have a frog stamp set from Stamps of Life froggy2love.  I will say this, I don't own any Copic.  In fact, I don't own any markers.  I tried stamping it with the color fill and used my colored pencils (Prismacolor) but not the right shade.  Because this set also has a solid frog, I stamped it in Momento Bamboo Leaves.  It needed a boost, so I stamped the lines with Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip.  The letters are alpha stickers.  I'm contemplating on whether in throwing out all of my alpha stickers.  I have so much! I probably won't use them very much.  That is one sure way of depleting my stash-in the trash!

I thought I was done, but it needed a little something.  I mean a 'little' something.  I looked at that set really close (I did have my glasses on) and saw this stinking cute bug.  How perfect is that?  Kismet times 3.

The inside is simple, and echoes from the front.  The yellow square has Ribbit stamped in Chocolate Chip ink with the bug.  This stamp set also has other frog related sentiments "Hoppy Birthday" and 'don't croak', which I'm not sure I will ever use.  I might just cut off the 'don't'.  There is also a teeny tiny frog to color in, a solid lily pad and a waterlily to color.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a Blessed Week!
