Let's PARTY!

I finally got my new Hero Arts stamps, Tiny Flags and Dauber Garland.  When I saw the Dauber Garland, I knew I had to get it.  I even bought some daubers to use with it, but that's not what I used today.  I stamped the garland in black.  I was going for a rich color for the the balls.  Since I don't own markers, I had to get creative.  I pulled out my very first punch I ever bought (20 years ago), the 1/2" circle.  I got a scrap of CS from the trash (my secret) and made 4 masks by punching 4 circles (I used orange twice).  I matched up the circles and colored in with my Momentro Dew Drop inkpad.  The tip of the pad made it easy.  Voila! Perfecto!    And I even tried my hand at masking the stamp so I could make the word party stand out in that beautiful blue. I layered this on top of an orange card that I white embossed Tiny Flags.  You can hardly see it!  That's okay, but there are going to be plenty of cards with that stamp! And those are them placed on a yummy green card base.

I am entering this in a challenge by Operation Write Home.  They have a Midweek Throwdown.  This week they are looking at the top 13 Throwdown Challenges and our job was to choose one of them as our inspiration.  I chose Birthdays.  I didn't follow the sketch they used, but I certainly followed the theme.  My thoughts are, you can never have too many birthday cards, right?

Thanks for stopping by!
