I am reaching for my stamps that I've been avoiding now that I have discovered the joys of baby oil. This adorable turtle is from The Stamp of Life. It's a two step stamp, where the turtle is one stamp and it's shell is another. I only used the colored pencils/baby oil treatment on the turtle. The shell stamp is a solid with a design. And this is my first time to use my speech bubble die from Lawn Fawn.
I am entering this into Color Throwdown #281. The colors remind me of the Hawaiian sunsets, which reminded me of snorkeling in HI, which reminded me of all the sea turtles I saw while snorkeling, which reminded me of this great stamp set I have. I love it when things happen like this!
And Seize the Birthday has a Anything Goes Challenge, so I am in!
Such a cute little fella and that huge speech bubble is so funky! I've not tried baby oil to mix pencils I usually use some white odorless mineral spirits (gamsol), maybe I should give the baby oil a try.
